I believe that premature cam and timing chain wear
is caused by low oil levels. On this bike, it is
very important to maintain the oil level. It's a
tall cylinder head and the oil has a long way to
travel. My guess is that the oil that gets to the
top of the head is ciphyned off the top of the oil
resevoir, so unless the oil level is at maximum, you
won't get sufficient oiling up there. Just my
opinion.
